Your emotional body is your feeling body and it is your guidance system.
However, this guidance system can only function when your energy system is free flowing and not blocked by any pre-programmed emotion related to the issue at hand.
This true guidance can only come when you live in the present moment and are not attached to the past and or future as it will distort the right information coming in and thus affect your choice.
We often react to situations based on outdated triggers that we are not conscious off and thus continue to create outcomes we do not desire.
Your subconscious is holding these outdated programs, called negative memories. It is these negative memories that are loaded with negative e-motions (energy), and if not aware of will continue to lead you along the wrong path of what you truly desire at your deepest core.
Your emotional Body is your “feeling” body. It guides you towards things that makes you feel “good” or “bad”. The feeling of good or bad should not be judged but just experienced as it then will allow the feeling to guide you. This guidance is part of a larger system called your energy body.
This energy body has a profound effect on how you perceive life and how you perceive life has a profound influence on your energy body. Thus being aware and learning what affects this energy body is essential.
As I brought to your attention in the physical aspect, your energy body has a profound influence on the health and well-being of your physical body. So I hope you now can start to see why your feelings and thoughts have such a strong influence on your energy body and thus your physical body.
Some food for thought: A happy heart is more helpful to the energy body then a good diet. So being on a strict healthy diet that you hate has a negative effect on your physical body. A peaceful mind is more helpful to your energy body than exercise. So, doing exercise that you hate is unhealthy for your physical body.
This is not an excuse not to exercise or to eat healthy as both are vital for good physical health. The message is to choose healthy foods and an exercise regimen that you love and enjoy.
The journey of the emotional body is for you to make choices that allows you to stay in a flow of feeling joy, being happy and allowing the energy that flows through you to motivate you as to take the required action as to make your dreams come true. Your feelings are a “sensing tool” that you can use as to "feel" if something might be a good choice.
This inner-sense-ability is available to all of us but often distorted by faulty programming. By living in the present moment, we can bypass these faulty programs.
What are you passionate about, what makes you feel alive, what would you love to do if money was not an issue? In other words.... what drives you?
Your inner drive (your engine) is the energy-in-motion which becomes the willpower that propels you forward towards fulfilling your dreams no matter what.
Feelings are just short-term experiences on this journey and they will come and go like the wind, rain, sunshine, etc.
Feelings are in need to be felt as this will allow the energy to continue to flow. Suppressing the feeling will create a dis-ease that, if continued, will create a “block” and eventually will stop the energy from flowing and suffocate the Life Force within.
This is when dis-ease becomes a disease whether this is physical, mental, emotional and/or spiritual. It is then that life becomes an ongoing struggle.
When you are not allowing your feelings to be felt and /or expressed in a healthy way, then eventually nothing seems to flow and soon survival becomes the main theme of one’s life. Life then becomes “hell” on Earth.
You even might have all the external successes of earthly life (money, fame, status) but your inner Self will continue to cry out to be heard until you can do no more . It is here where many are going through a slow inner death, while holding onto the addictions they have created, in an attempt as to silence this ongoing "cry" within.
When you are pursuing your dreams you will be challenged to grow as a person as you have to learn new things on the way. For some change is welcomed and others will try to hold onto the old as long as they can.
When you push the boundaries of who you are, you then come face to face with not only your strengths but also your limitations and this can prevent you from moving forward.
Pursuing your innermost dreams and passions might mean giving up a job, a relationship, having to move across country or even the globe, having to be disciplined as to finish for example a book, a website, a project, etc.
Your Higher Mind, as we have seen in the Mental part of this website, will provide you with the promptings/guidance what to do step by step as to stay on course. This requires patience, discipline, commitment, courage, faith, trust, etc. which often is lacking in this age of instant gratification.
The steps you must take often goes hand in hand with releasing old wounds (negative beliefs and their negative emotional load). The emotional body can not only undergo a wide variety of feelings, but they can also by quite intense. Allowing these feelings to flow is an important part of the healing process.
Hence the saying “You can’t heal what you are unwilling to feel”.
External triggers are provided by your surroundings as to let these old wounds come to the surface and be released. Many of you may be unaware that the feeling triggered is an opportunity for something to be healed.
Our society has conditioned us as that experiencing feelings is a sign of weakness and therefore many continue to suppress these feelings or continue to react (act out) as was done when the wound was originally created. This suppressing and/or re-acting is often similar to an "addictive" pattern that can give us a sense of power, control or just a plain short term high. However, on the long run it will NOT create the life you want.
The feelings that surface each time an event triggers an old wound is actually an outdated program that is not relevant to the present situation but it often continues to prevent you to live the life you want to live.
First step, as with all the 7 areas is awareness. It is allowing yourself to be open to look deeply into those aspects of your life that are needing transformation.
This transformation comes from the inside out as there is truly no other way if you want lasting results.
We are all unique beings with our own history. Some live too much through their emotional body and others have blocked it completely and let their analytical mind make all the decisions. Balance is key.
